Modern Campground
The Modern Campground at Lake Elmo Park Reserve is a great place to relax and unwind. Located close to the Twin Cities, you’ll find 76 sites that accommodate tents, trailers, and motor homes. Located on County Road 10 in Lake Elmo, this Washington County park has more than 2,000 acres of lakes, ponds, wetlands, rolling hills, forests and prairies. With more than 20 miles of hiking trails, it’s no surprise this is one of the best places to go for a day of outdoor fun in the Twin Cities.
Other features of the park include a fishing pier, a boat launch and a sand bottom, chlorinated swim pond that has lifeguards on duty between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Sunfish Lake Park
Sunfish Lake Park is a beautiful park in the heart of a rural community. The Park is a popular place for families to spend time together.
The park is a great place for hiking, skiing, biking, and nature study. It’s also a popular place for picnicking and fishing.
It is considered the crown jewel of the City of Lake Elmo’s park system and it is free to use. The park is also a regionally significant ecological area.
Despite its small size, the park has a number of trails through the woods and some prairie. It’s a nice place for a walk or run with plenty of benches to stop and rest.
